Fulltime Permanent (average 39hrs p/wk)
Baddaford Farm Partnership are looking for an experienced landworker to join our team. Live-In or Live-Out available.
Remuneration based on experience. 39hrs p/wk + holiday + package.
Start Date: ASAP.
Baddaford farm is the home of Guy Singh-Watson, founder of Riverford Organic Farmers, his wife Geetie Singh-Watson (The Bull Inn) and the Baddaford Farmers Collective.
Our Crops include Strawberries, Peas, Globe Artichokes, Rhubarb, Squash, PSB, Raspberry Blackberry, Beans, Cardoons & new trials of Cucumber/Nettle/Pineberry strawberry.
Your main role will be to work alongside our Farm Manager, helping to supervise other members of the farm team; organising the harvest of our crops, assessing crop forecasts & yields, communicating with seasonal workers. Opportunity to learn the full picture of organic field scale farming whilst being immersed in a community of fellow growers and land based businesses.
Working Hours:
We would like the Field Supervisor onboard as soon as possible.
The role is F/T & permanent, with the option to live at the farm (self-contained uber gorgeous unit) .
It is a year round role, which means hot days and cold muddy days.
Personal Specification:
The ideal candidate must have farm work experience, ideally with veg, fruit or arable, with practical skills with a good eye for detail. Furthermore, they'll need to be good at keeping records, have good communication skills & be able to manage regular & seasonal pickers throughout all picking seasons, as well as overseeing yard and field work throughout the year.
Own transport required. Must having full UK driving licence & be legally allowed to work in the UK .
Desirable: Mechanical/Machinery experience or building work would be great
Salary/Package: From £26,500 p/a
